Dear Tukutane Family,

My names are Silvia Njoroge. Am one of the Tukutane alumni. I joined Tukutane in 2012. How I joined Tukutane was nothing short of a miracle. I cleared my high school in 2003. Since my parents could not afford to take me to college, I took to odd jobs just to make ends meet. Even then I had a love for food and generally the hospitality industry. There when working as a waitress in an NGO called SACDEP KENYA, is where I met Mom Margaret. You may know her as Mrs. Fritz. She saw the love and the passion I had for what I was doing, we got talking and through that I got enrollment at SOS technical institute where for 3 years I studied F&B. My time in SOS was awesome. I worked really hard and I was among the top students acquiring a distinction in my final KNEC exams.  Through the knowledge and the skills I got at SOS, I was able to get a job in Dubai as a private tutor. F&B is still my passion and am working towards that. I wish one day God willing to open my own café. Thank you to all who made my dreams of a college education come true. Looking forward to working with the team in Germany and the rest of the alumni here to empower women and make more dreams come true.

With Love,

Silvia
